Great review of RADIO MOSCOW “Live! In California” from PERFORMER MAG

Live! In California is an excellent document of how Radio Moscow sounds live and captures the band at their artistic peak.

The album kicks off with high adrenaline starting with the song “I Just Don’t Know.” This a solid track, but the set really heats up when the band plays “250 Miles/Brain Cycles.” These are the best live renditions of the two songs – on “Brain Cycles,” the group ventures into the musical stratosphere and rocket to the next level. It’s the most trippy and experimental version of the song and much different from the studio version, which is highly pleasing itself. From there, the album only gets better. – READ THE REVIEW HERE

JAMES LEG premieres “Hugging The Line” via NO DEPRESSION

ALIVE0184

If you’re a fan of gunnite gypsy punk with a rocksteady back beat, James Leg is your eternal ediface. There is nothing like a Leg record and there never will be, no one plays like him, no one growls like him, and certainly no one rocks like him. He’s a world travelled stalwart and will be forever a gem in the Blues crown. – Scott Zuppardo / NO DEPRESSION REVIEW HERE

Great review of LEFT LANE CRUISER “Beck In Black” from ELMORE Magazine

ALIVE0179_RSD-w

Six previously unreleased songs are stuffed into a collection originally released for Record Store Day as an exclusive metallic gold vinyl pressing. But, Beck in Black doesn’t need such fancy window dressing. Not with guitarist and vocalist Freddy J IV exercising his God-given right to fire off blasts of wicked, distorted riffs at will – as he does in a bruising “Chevrolet” – and indulge in slide-guitar mayhem, like that of “Circus,” a freewheeling party as raucous as any thrown by the Faces. – Peter Lindblad / READ THE ENTIRE REVIEW HERE

Cool review of LEFT LANE CRUISER “Beck In Black” from I94 BAR

ALIVE0179_RSD-w

Not a “new” album as such but a compilation of favourite tracks, as nominated by former drummer Brenn “Sausage Paw” Beck, “Beck in Black” hangs together really well. Six of the 14 tracks are previously unreleased and a few others are re-mastered so there’s plenty of value here for glued-on fans. – READ THE REVIEW HERE

Review of KING MUD at the Jug Jaw’s Beat Club via OUTLINE (UK)

Playing as a three piece with drums, bass, guitar and vocals the set was every bit as loud and intense as I anticipated. Blasting his way through the strings of two guitars during a 90 minute set, undeterred Freddy told stories while the band jammed as he re-strung the guitar ahead of the next glorious punky blues onslaught. It was obvious that they were having a blast and were thrilled to be playing here. The set was mainly of originals but as well as a Robert Johnson cover I loved the references to “native music” covers that they played, The Troggs and Dr. Feelgood. “Nobody knows Dr. Feelgood like you guys know them, it’s an honour to play it on this sacred ground!” Standing close to the 60s Shure tower speakers the volume was intense but it was an honour for me to hear them in this way. – READ THE REVIEW HERE
