DATURA4 debut album “Demon Blues” coming in July

ALIVE0172-LP

The debut album of psychedelic rock “Demon Blues” by Australian outfit DATURA4 (Datura is a toxic flower and there are 4 guys in the band) will be released worldwide in July on Alive Naturalsound.

The band includes veteran rockers Dom Mariani (Stems, DM3), Greg Hitchcock (New Christs), Warren Hall (The Drones), and Stu Loasby. The cool cover art is by Joshua Marc Levy/Asheville Art Family.

Fans of Radio Moscow, Handsome Jack, and Dirty Streets should dig this record!

LEFT LANE CRUISER new song “Tres Borrachos” featured on CLASSIC ROCK “Tracks Of The Week”

Left Lane Cruiser – Tres Borrachos
Scuzzy bluesy rock’n’roll, straight from the Mississippi swamp, via a punk club. Now on their fifth album, Left Lane Cruiser have mastered the art of “hillbilly punk-blues” that “roars like a modal, tweaking chainsaw”. No actual chainsaws were involved in the making of this, as far as we know, but it’s a gratifyingly raw, yet soulfully-minded ‘choon.

In the mid-‘70s, along the shores of Lake Michigan in the small town of Zion, Ill., brothers John and Jeff Murphy and Gary Klebe joined forces to create the iconic power-pop outfit, Shoes.
Over the past four decades, Shoes have amassed a massive, fabled catalog of rock tunes and for this year’s edition of Record Store Day, they’ve collected some of their favorites — along with previously unreleased demos and a 2013 live version of “I Don’t Wanna Hear It” – for the very special Primal Vinyl. The BLOODHOUNDS live at Origami records

ALIVE0163-W

When listening to the Bloodhounds, my whole collection of oldies went through my mind in a few minutes, not that it is a bad thing, on the contrary, the quartet is a true-to-the-core 60’s R&B revival and they play it with a real conviction.

The Bloodhounds were playing an in-store at Origami Vinyl on Saturday night, and they rocked the place, attracting more and more people in the store with their upbeat and familiar rhythms. It’s always funny to see young guys who were not even a project in their parents’ minds in the 60’s or 70’s, but nevertheless embracing the retro wave, and mixing blues, old style R&B and good old rock & roll, with such ease and delightfulness… add to this a subtle Latino flavor, which makes total sense when you know they all come from East LA.
