If you want to find out what is stirring in the heavy psych underground these days then you can’t go far wrong with this record. It’s a supreme live document of a band who are simply on fire at the moment and along with Earthless and Harsh Toke, are revitalising the heady days of the 60’s through their expressive jamming and explosive blues. It is also a stark reminder of how exciting a live album can be and for that alone needs to be heard. A great document of a great night from a great band. 2 dates in the UK : KING MUD SQUELCH IN!
Two-piece garage-blues supergroup KING MUD have lined up two U.K. dates this month as part of their European tour.
The duo of Freddy J IV from LEFT LANE CRUISER and Van Campbell of BLACK DIAMOND HEAVIES holed up in a Burbank recording studio with producer Arthur Alexander of NYC new wavers THE SORROWS to lay down a series of punk-blues originals, augmented by a couple of covers – THEM’s garage classic ‘I Can Only Give You Everything’ and DR FEELGOOD’s ‘Keep It Out Of Sight’.
The results can be found on Victory Motel Sessions, which is out now on Alive Naturalsound.

Live albums can be disappointing affairs, few capture the atmosphere or sound of a concert accurately, Live! In California is not one of those albums, this release proudly boasts having no overdubs and it is a perfect snapshot of a band live. Radio Moscow sound amazing live, the album is full on wall of histrionic guitars, rumbling bass and precise drums, it’s even more impressive when you consider there are only three of them. – READ THE REVIEW HERE

ALIVE NATURALSOUND RECORDS are proud to announce the signing of HEATH GREEN & THE MAKESHIFTERS, a group of incredible deep-feel musicians hailing from Birmingham, Alabama.
The band is fronted by Heath Green, a singer who bears the Eddie Hinton mantle as much as anyone living does. The Makeshifters’ heavy sound has been compared to Leon Russell and The Shelter People, Humble Pie, and Joe Cocker.
Heath Green and The Makeshifters’ self-titled debut album will be released early 2017 on Alive Naturalsound records.

A simmering, humid swamp of keyboards, rough-and-tumble guitars and rumbling bass and drums backs the powerhouse, blue-collar voice of Paradis, who scratches the electric washboard until her fingers bleed and belts out stirring anthems for the downtrodden on the lusty, smoking-hot Talking Loud. Invoking the spirit of Janis Joplin, Paradis actually sounds more like a young Grace Slick, tough and uncompromising.
