Another nice review of GYASI “Here Comes The Good Part”
Here Comes the Good Part is a VERY good album. The glam influences and references are blatant, but they work really well. Gyasi is putting his own spin on this style of rock with a broad palette of sounds. It’s very melodic and well-arranged. Anytime there’s a real rock record released by a young artist, it’s something to get excited about. There will be people who accuse it of being derivative, but that’s a lazy assessment. “Star” is close, but I have a feeling it was intentional. I’ll come back to this often I bet. Good chance this ends up being one of my favorites for ‘25

GYASI’S “Snake City” on CLASSIC ROCK “Tracks Of The Week”
The best new rock songs you need to hear right now
All dirty glitter, boot-stomping energy and deep, strutting grooves, the West Virginia-turned-Nashville glamster’s new single turns straight-ahead foundations into a vibey shot of floor-filling blues rock. – LOUDER / CLASSIC ROCK
Gret review of GYASI “Here Comes The Good Part” from GOLDMINE
Gyasi and his music have come to fruition with grandeur and style, with grace and poise, yet like a bull out of his pen, trotting down the hill into a field of cows in heat. We are the cows, starving and yearning for something new, something fresh to graze and enjoy, and Gyasi has made his way to pasture to give it to us. – TONE Scott / GOLDMINE review here
Review of GYASI “Here Comes The Good Part” from Steve Pick
He sells his revised take on classic styles with panache and soul. Part of it is he knows how to make his songs stick to the ribs – solid guitar riffs, lithe melodies, and, as the title phrase implies when it’s spoken before the catchy chorus of “Lightning,” indelible hooks. I think you could drop any of these songs into a mix tape of glam from back in the day, and nobody would know it was new. – REVIEW HERE
